사우디아라비아의 칼리드 빈 압둘 아지즈 빈 아야프(Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz bin Ayyaf)왕자와 국방부(National Guard)장관 겸 국가전통문화축제-자나드리아(National Festival of Heritage and Culture - Janadria) 최고위원회 의장이 두 신성한 사원의 수호자인(Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques)’ 살만 빈 압둘 아지즈(Salman bin Abdul Aziz) 국왕의 후원으로 제33회 자나드리아 축제를 목요일 개막한다고 발표했다.

칼리드 왕자는 어제 리야드에서 가진 기자회견에서 이같이 밝혔다. 회견장에는 인도네시아 대통령 중동 특사 알위 시합(Alwi Shihab) 박사, 아구스 아비 지브릴(Agus Abi Jibril) 주사우디아라비아 인도네시아 대사, 압둘라 알 후세인(Abdullah Al Hussein) 사우디 국영통신사(Saudi Press Agency) 사장 및 사우디와 아랍을 비롯한 해외 언론사 대표들이 참석했다.

칼리드 왕자는 올해 자나드리아 축제는 첫 번째 주요 행사인 연례 낙타경주로 시작되며 오페라 ‘Tidalal Ya Watan’ 공연을 비롯한 문학 및 예술 행사도 같은 날 저녁에 진행된다고 소개했다. 수많은 다양한 분야에서 국가에 기여하고 업적을 달성하고 국가를 위해 봉사한 사우디 인사들을 기념하는 행사도 진행된다.

자나드리아 축제의 고유한 특징 중 하나로 다음 주 화요일 알데라이야(Al-Deraiya) 거리 스포츠홀에서 열리는 사우디 전통공연 ‘알아르다 알사우디(Alardah Alsaudi)’ 파티에 두 신성한 사원의 수호자인(Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques)’ 살만 빈 압둘 아지즈(Salman bin Abdul Aziz) 국왕이 참가할 예정이다.

칼리드 왕자는 모하메드 빈 살만 빈 압둘아지즈(Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz) 왕세자, 제2부총리 겸 국방장관이 사우디아라비아 왕국의 문화유산을 반영하는 축제를 영예로운 방식으로 보여주기 위해 항상 노력해왔다며 그의 적극적인 지지와 후원을 높이 평가했다.

칼리드 왕자는 연설에서 "제33회 축제 프로그램을 소개하기 위해 기자회견을 열었다. 30여 년 전 처음 축제가 열린 이후 다양한 지역 기반의 언론들과 주요 파트너 관계를 유지하고 있다. 언론은 건설적인 비판을 제공하고 차별화된 시각을 제공한다는 점에서 직업이기 전에 책임감을 가진 전달자가 되어야 한다.”고 말했다.

왕자는 또한 올해 초빙국으로 선정된 인도네시아의 참여에 대해 만족감을 드러냈다.

한편 인도네시아 대통령 특사는 인도네시아를 국가전통문화축제의 초빙국으로 선정해준 데 대해 두 신성한 사원의 수호자인(Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques)’ 살만 빈 압둘 아지즈(Salman bin Abdul Aziz) 국왕과 모하메드 빈 살만 빈 압둘아지즈 왕세자, 제2부총리 겸 국방장관에게 감사인사를 전하며 양국 간의 긴밀한 전략적 문화적 교류와 뿌리 깊은 유대관계를 강조하기도 했다.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--His Highness Prince Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz bin Ayyaf, Minister ofNational Guard and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the NationalFestival of Heritage and Culture – Janadria, announced the launch of the33rd Edition of the festival on Thursday under the patronage of theCustodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.

This was announced during a press conference held yesterday in Riyadh inthe presence of the Special Envoy of the Indonesian President for theMiddle East, Dr. Alwi Shihab, the Ambassador of the Republic ofIndonesia in the Kingdom Agus Abi Jibril, the President of the SaudiPress Agency Abdullah Al Hussein and a crowd of representatives from theSaudi, Arab and international media.

Prince Khalid revealed that the coming edition will start with theannual camel race, the first nucleus of this national festival, whilethe literary and artistic ceremony will be held on the evening of thesame day, and it includes an opera performance "Tidalal Ya Watan." Anumber of Saudi personalities will also be honored for theircontribution, achievements and services to the nation in various fields.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is also attending “AlardahAlsaudi” party, the Saudi traditional performance which will be held inthe sports halls of Al-Deraiya road on the following Tuesday as one ofthe authentic features of the Janadria Festival.

Prince Khalid valued the high support and backing of the festival fromHis Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, CrownPrince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, who is alwayskeen to show this festival in an honorable way that reflects theheritage and culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Khalid said in his speech: "This conference comes to introducethe programmes of the 33rd Edition. We look at the media in its variousbranches as a key partner of the festival since its inception more thanthree decades ago. The media, as you know, is a message andresponsibility before being a profession as they provide constructivecriticism and propose different views.”

His Highness also expressed his happiness with the participation of theRepublic of Indonesia as a guest of honour country this year.

From his side, the Special Envoy of the Indonesian President expressedhis thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman BinAbdul Aziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman binAbdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister ofDefense to select the Republic of Indonesia as a guest of honor at theNational Heritage Festival and noted the close strategic and culturalrelationship and deep roots between the two countries.
