Gyeongsangnam-do announced that 18 private gardens were in operation until recently, starting with 'Seom-i', which was registered as a private garden in 2015. Residents are very interested in garden creation, accounting for 18 out of 61 (30%) nationwide.
 
Private gardens are gardens created and operated by corporations, organizations, or individuals in accordance with the Act on the Creation and Promotion of Arboretums and Gardens, and designated by the Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do.

'Seom-i' garden (Namhae-gun)

There are 18 private gardens in the province: Namhae-gun ‘Seo-i’ Garden, Namhae Topia Land, Hwagye-ri Garden, Tongyeong-si Haesolchan Garden, Mulbitsori Garden, Chunhwaui Garden, Naples Farm, Geoje-si Okdong Healing Garden, Hamyang-gun Hamiang Garden, Geochang-gun Lee Hanme Art Museum There are gardens/Lee Su-mi Farmberry Garden, Changnyeong-gun Millennial garden, Yangsan City Green Education Garden/Saemigol Garden, Miryang City Mother's Garden, and Gimhae City Farmer's Garden.

It is a space where life and tastes that have been carefully cultivated by individuals for a long time are fully melted, and you can meet beautiful gardens in various forms that are not standardized, such as mountains and the sea, coffee and wine, and a garden where you can feel and enjoy the scent of bonsai and flowers.
 
To briefly introduce some of these places, the old stone walls and ponds of the Darang Rice fields, the Namhae 'Seom-i' garden, a typical and natural European-style garden with various herbs and silver grass, and the Namhae Topiary like a small fairy tale made with old yew and hollywood trees. There are Tongyeong Mulbitsori Garden where you can appreciate the garden landscape surrounded by the sea, the green pine bonsai garden all year round, and Tongyeong Haesolchan Garden, a wild flower garden that spreads the fragrance of 130 kinds of flowers.

Private gardens that are open to the public can be viewed free of charge or by paying an admission fee.

Dong-Jun Yun, head of the Gyeongsangnam-do Forest and Recreation Division, said, "We will continue to discover private gardens so that residents can easily access gardens in their daily life and have healing and rest through this. Please pay attention,” he said.
